Leaving a USB drive in a PC...?

Is it alright to leave a thumb drive attached to a PC that's booted up approx. once a day, all day?

  1. Shouldnt hurt anything.  Might try to boot from it, but other then that, it should be fine.


  2. It should be fine. make sure your computer doe not try to boot to the USB drive when you reboot though. some computer have boot to USB device enabled. Won't cause any problems if it does try to boot to it. You just will have to take it off until it boots up if it does.

  3. It will be fine. You can leave it in for a 50 years and your PC will fail because of age before USB is in for 50 years causing the PC to snuff it (Unless it has a virus)


  4. yes you can leave it and you dont need to worry about booting from it either, the default settings are always for booting from hard disk on every pc. (of course if you have not changed it)
