Leaving from Ben Gurion Airport in Israel to US via continental airlines. Wondering if I can bring lighter?

Could I bring a lighter on carry-on, I researched this a bit but was unable to find out Israel's policy on the matter. Thanks.

According to the U.S. TSA, common lighters (the plastic kind found at convenience stores) are permitted in carry-on baggage.  Torch lighters (with a thin, hot flame) are not.  The source below notes that Israel (and most other countries) also permit passangers to take lighters on flights in carry-ons, so you should be fine.

It's pretty simple. Ask when you're checking in. If the answer is no, stick it into your luggage before you check it. If it's yes, then no problem.
