Why can't people leave quick comments on my page? I have gone to the settings section and comments are enabled and allowed by the public, but it still isn't working.

  1. This is a problem with Yahoo going into transition getting the new network ready.

l have try to post comments on my friends page and one day it works and the next day, it did not work

This is a come and go thing And yahoo is not fixing the bugs because all their resources are going into getting the new net work ready

If you have set to public your Quick comments and it does not work, then it is just the bug in rhere

    If you set to public

    ''who can view''

    and

    ''who can post comments''

Then this is the bug in the system

It will come back and some times this takes a day or two to fix itself.

You are not doing anything wrong.

  2. This is a recent glitch that many people are experiencing, where the mailbox and/or top page comments module are busted except for specific periods of the day. This is not a case where you should keep trying fruitlessly to delete messages,. add comments or send invitations. It has nothing to do with your computer system either. You will see old messages and comments any other time of the day, no matter what you do because at those other times the mailbox or comment box is malfunctioning. Also, when the mailbox is messed up you can't see invitations or send invitations as that is actually considered a message.

You can't fix the glitch, but you MAY be able to work around it.

You can try deleting comments/messages and it may appear successful, but it will likely return the next day at certain times. You will just have to use the comment box and mailbox only at the specific times for when they are working properly. In other words, FIRST you will have to visit your 360 at various times of the day to see when the mailbox & top page are working. Once you figure out the time periods, then you know that you can use your mailbox/invitations/top page comments at those times each day.

Yet if you are able to send an invitation, but the invitation recipient has the same problem that you do, then they won't receive the invitation unless they check their 360 mailbox at the right time. It works in the reverse too. If you haven't figured out when the mailbox is working, then obviously you can't accept invitations either.

With all that said, there's no guarantee that your mailbox or Top Page comments will work at any point in the day. But at least you can TRY to check it out, just in case. For me, it works between 4am and 10am CST.

FYI: Y!360 is transitioning into a different social networking platform in early 2008. There has not been a more specific date announced on the blog yet, so it could happen any time between January and end of March 2008. Yahoo is trying to centralize its profiling services - Y!Mash, Y!360, and the regular Members profile - into one. It likely will not be called 360 anymore, so yes, it's closing in a sense. See http://blog.360.yahoo.com/product_360 for more details. The 360 team blog is also accessible via the "Yahoo! 360 News" link in the upper right corner of your 360 space.

However, they are no longer fixing bugs related to Y!360, so there's no point in trying to contact them about those.
