Leaving the teaching profession for the corporate world?

I have been a high school teacher the last three years and am currently interviewing for positions other than teaching. One question that continues to be asked by interviewers is, "Why are you leaving teaching?" What is the best possible response?

You might try the real reason; at least you will sound convincing.

Answer 2

Be honest in your answer. It may be 1) For better salary or earning, 2) For challenging job with better perks and earning, etc. Tis way your chance I think will be enhanced.
