As far as a gift is concerned as you're only asking for her hand & not the rest of her  I wouldn't go overboard.....maybe take some chocs & flowers  .

it depends if the two goats are "first door" or not but to be on the safe side, offer your father in law 12 eggs, 11 chocolates, 10 sweet potatoes, 9 singing canaries, 8 roses, 7 geese, 6 milking cows, 5 dogs, 4 gold coins, 3 chickens,2 goats and a partridge in a pear tree

About the present......i should say the 2 goats and the fluffy bunny slippers if you still have them. Everybody wanted them, and i think her dad will love them.

well, 2 goats?? not really a gift u can easily get them home and they would find a hard time storing it. so i suggest sweets, maybe chocolates or cakes or any arabian sweets, with some flowers, and maybe a bottle of wine or fine wisky.
