Dude Kobe brings a lot to the team he is incredible and is just one more amazing force out there but them winning the gold medal will not just be cause of Kobe joining team USA. I think it has to do with all three of those players you mentioned growing as people and players......back in 04 Carmelo and Lebron were just 18 or 19 (a little young to be leading a team to a gold medal ya think), in 06 they were still young and needed to still develope. They are all older now and with the addition of Kobe they should win GOLD!!

The 3 guys were kind of raw I think they could have won gold without him. But with kobe they hould win it. CP3 has grown alot more and so has lebron , wade and carmelo

Big ticket it has nothing to do with who has the most point, if Kobe right now decided that he was gonna score the most point he could, but he did what was best for the team which was to play defense. He has two scoring title, 81 points in a game enough said.

I agree that if Mr Colango thought that Melo, Bron and D-wade were enough he wouldn't brought Kobe along as well as J-Kidd.

if the us bigs cant play bigger than they have been, team us will not win a gold.  honestly i think that garnett would've been a great addition he shouldve came and shaq wouldve really clogged up the lane and made things difficult for the world to run that inside out game because then the smalls wouldnt have to worry so much about covering the lane and could jump out on the shooters more aggressively.  the team is not looking right.  their offensive is not fluid enough and their defensive is too porous.  howard needs to step his game up asap.
