Question:

Lebron James...in his prime?

Lebron James, for his career, is averaging 27, 7 and 7. He's also had a season of 31, 7, and 7, and another of 30, 8, and 7. All of this, and HE IS ONLY 23 YEARS OLD!

Most players don't hit their prime until their 25-29 years old. So when Lebron finally reaches his prime, what do think his numbers will look like?

Triple double?

35-40 points a game?

Or will they decline the way Jordan's did, when he started winning championships?

  1. lebron talent is scary for what he can do at his age.  When he gets more and more players to help him win then his numbers will probably decrease because other people will score and other people will help with rebounds.  so alot of it depends on the talent he has around him. I think it will be around 28-29 when he hit his peak and if he had championships rings or a few championships ring by then he might be consider the best ever.

  2. You seem to know Jordan, but you fail to understand how it works...

Jordan averaged 37  points when he was 23 or 24 years old, but his best seasons were when he won the titles. Stats don't mean much.

LeBron will average what he is averaging now, more or less. I have no idea where he gets his assists.. I had no idea he actually passed.

Don't worry about his stats. LeBron will win titles when the Celtic, Piston, and Laker era ends, which is probably 4 years from now. So at the age of 27 expect him to win his first ring.

  3. NUMBERS are just that NUMBERS, they don't show the true picture. All great players NUMBERS go down when they play a team game and realize there are others to lighten and share the load. It's much harder for the other team to guard 5 guys playing together, than one guy with all the talent. So the question is, is Lebron going to be willing to lesson his NUMBERS for the tradeoff of winning? Or is he going to be the next Wilt/Kobe/Anthony/Iverson/etc.., it's all about ME looking good and putting up NUMBERS? The Celtic's put a big three together, who all decided that their NUMBERS do not mean as much as winning, and yes, their individual NUMBERS  all went down, but their fingers all got heavier in the process.

  4. He will only average more points, assists, rebounds if he plays with bad team mates ... so that means no Ring for him ..

I can almost guarantee you that his numbers will be down with playing with Mo Williams ...especially assist and points

Michael Jordan was averaging 37.1 points with 5.2 rebs and 5 ast 3 stl 1.5 blocks at 23 so.. I'm not convinced that he will be better than MJ

  5. Yeah, it's crazy what he's doing. Especially putting up those numbers on a low scoring team like the Cavs.

That's why his possible move to New York (Knicks, not Nets) is kind of intriguing. Playing in D'Antonio's uptempo system will send his numbers sky rocketing!

But like many have said already, his numbers will probably dip if he gets a strong team around him.

  6. No doubt at all
