Lectoring at an RC Church?

I know this sounds simple, but does lectoring count as community service as far as the National Honor Society goes?

Or does the school you're going to play any part (cause I go to a private school)?

The school you go to plays a big part.  You'll have to ask your teacher (there is always at least one teacher who is assigned to Torch Honor Society) if what you're doing will count or not.
