Ledley King hails http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gareth-Bale-c14422’s impressive growth at Tottenham Hotspur – EPL News
Experienced Tottenham Hotspur defender, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ledley-King-c21859, has hailed Gareth Bale’s extraordinary performances last season, claiming that the Welsh winger will go on to become a legend at the White Hart Lane.
Bale has been a revelation at Tottenham Hotspur since joining from Southampton four seasons ago. Despite enduring a poor start to life at White Hart Lane, the 21-year-old bounced back from the initial setback and has gone on to establish himself in Harry
Redknapp’s starting eleven at Tottenham.
After a slow start at the left-back position, the Welsh winger was given more attacking freedom by Harry Redknapp which has brought fruitful results. The former Southampton player was one of the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vitalô-c40903 members of Tottenham squad that secured the Spurs’ first
ever UEFA Champions League qualification in the 2009/10 season.
The Spurs skipper, Ledley King, reckons that Bale’s impressive goal tally in the last two seasons has made him one of the best players in the world. King has also claimed that Bale has impressed him with his consistent growth at the
White Hart Lane and wants the Welshman to carry on his impressive form in the upcoming season.
“He just carried on where he left off the season before. But what he’s added is a goal threat, he’s so dangerous in those attacking areas now. Now he’s looking like he can score goals every week, as well as make goals.” Ledley King told Tottenham Hotspur
official website.
Bale was awarded Barclays Premier League most prestigious accolade, PFA Player of the Year award, last season for his consistent and impressive performances for Tottenham, who finished fifth in the Barclays Premier League. King believes that the Welsh winger
will remain a vital part of Harry Redknapp’s squad and believes that the 21-year-old deserved to win the PFA award.
King said, “He’s a big player for this team now and for the future. I’m delighted for him. He’s such a good lad as well. To win the PFA award as well, that’s such a special achievement, especially at his age. It shows you how well he’s done.”
Gareth Bale was the stand-out performer of the Spurs’ team that secured the Europa League spot and also reached the quarter-final of the UEFA Champions League. The 21-year-old scored 11 goals in 42 appearances in all competitions last season.
