Lee-Anne Pace and Melissa Reid to join the field of the Ladies Irish Open
The long awaited Ladies Irish Open is just around the corner and the players and fans are really excited about the tournament. This is a highly anticipated event that will run from August 3 to 5.
Among the top players who have announced their availability for the event, two names stand out - the South African Lee-Anne Pace and the English player Melissa Reid. Both these players have made their name in pro golf and have large fan followings.
Pace has been going strong this year and many experts are of the opinion that she has a great chance of finishing the event in the top-ten of the leaderboard.
She is on top of her game right now and with excellent finishes in the previous events this year, she has gained substantial confidence.
Pace has just finished the Evian Masters presented by Societe Generale in the 16th position. She scored 280 points and many observers applauded her game.
Before that, she played in her most favourite event of the year, the South African Women's Open. She finished second and the fans greatly appreciated her game.
Right now, Melissa Reid is fresh out of the Evian Masters and many experts consider her to be a beaten player. She failed to perform in the tournament and finished way down the scoreboard. She shot a miserable 140 points and was placed in the 88th
position.
However, she is still confident about her game. Before the Evian Masters, she played in the Raiffeisenbank Prague Golf Masters and won the tournament.
This tournament made headlines when Reid won because of plenty of personal backdrop. Many experts praised her fortitude, when she opted to play in the event even after suffering a personal tragedy.
Both these players have a great chance of making it big in the Ladies Irish Open. They are seasoned pros who have played in a number of professional tournaments.  They have gained much confidence in their abilities after their recent exploits.
This is the right mindset in which to approach the most important and prestigious Irish tournament of the year.
