Lee-Anne failed to maintain her “Pace” at the Ladies British Masters
The South African golf star Lee-Anne Pace started the ISPS Handa Ladies British Masters on a great note. However, she slowed down in the middle and finished the event on a forgettable note.
The first round was her best with a score of 68. She scored a birdie on the second hole. The rest of the front nine was unremarkable. She again got lucky and scored a birdie on the 11th hole.
This was followed by another birdie on the 14th hole. Pace finished the round with a birdie on the 18th
hole.
The second round was her worst with a score of 73. This is the round where she hit her only double bogey of the event. The first three holes went uneventfully. The fourth hole saw a bogey, which was offset by a birdie on the sixth hole.
The back nine again began with a birdie on the 10th hole. From the 11th hole to the 13th, it was a disaster for Pace.
On the 11th hole, she hit a bogey. On the 12th came the double bogey, followed by another bogey on the 13th. On the 14th hole, she hit a birdie that was poor consolation for the past three holes. Another birdie was scored
on the 17th hole.
The final round saw a minor improvement with a score of 72. She began with a bogey on the second hole. The rest of the holes on the front nine were uneventful.
She scored her first birdie on the 11th hole. Next came a bogey on the 12th hole, which balanced out the birdie. She scored another birdie on the 14th hole and finished the round on all par.
This performance was a welcome relief for her fans. Her last tournament was the Ladies Irish Open, which proved to be a serious disappointment for all. She played a below average game and missed the cut.
She had played well in the Evian Masters and this performance came as a shock to her fans. However, with her 11th place in the Ladies British Masters, the fans are convinced that Pace has recovered from her bad form.
