Lee Briers has returns to Iestyn Harris' squad for Wales Gillette Four Nations Series
Captain Lee Briers has returned to Iestyn Harris’ outfit after missing out on the Warrington Wolves 12-11 victory over France, which was scheduled last October. The inclusion was revealed on September 14, when Harris named his 35-man train-on squad for Wales
Rugby League practice clashes.
With this win, Wolves are not only title owners of the European Cup, they have also qualified for the Four Nations series, which will be battled amongst Wales, Australia, New Zealand and England.
Training sessions are going to start from next week and will aim at prepare the toughest squad to take on their rival outfits. The squad has twenty out of thirty-five players who have already played either  for South Wales Scorpions or Crusaders in 2011.
Wales’ new coach has given a chance to two fresh players, Tyson Frizell and Matt Seamark, to play for Wales in the Four Nations. Other players who are part of the recent recruitment are Peter Lupton, Jamie Murphy and Dalton Grant.
While speaking about his training scheduled for the Four Nations Series, Wales’ coach, Iestyn Harris said, “We’ve a fall-out programme ready for the guys when they come out of their respective clubs, whether they are beaten in the competition or go all the
way to their respective finals, so that’s all in place now. When the players finish their last game they will get 10 days off. They will then come in to a maintenance programme and we will prepare ourselves for the kick-off which will be against Ireland on
October 22nd at The Gnoll in Neath.”
The coach added further that training will give the players the chance to get back into form and to take-on other teams in competition that will be staged at The Gnoll in Neath against Ireland. The coach seemed confident over the full potential of his initial-cut
of players.
Harris explained that the reason behind the train-on squad is to filter out the bests amongst the lot, who will eventually take on against their opponents.
