In the opening match, Chia Hsin started the ball rolling in the very first set and maintained that momentum until the last shot was played.
The Taipei campaigner employed unusual tactics in the opening game as she kept a low profile in the beginning and then enthralled her rival with a brisk attack.
Evgenia, who belongs to Russia, enjoyed the upper hand in the establishing rallies and piled up a decent margin of 6-3.
However, she could not carry this rhythm and allowed her competitor to level the score way before half time.
Chia Hsin did not fritter away this opportunity and tipped the scale in her favour with a respectable figure of 11.
After the one-minute interval, she did not drop her pace and left the opposing shuttler far behind with a notable difference. She bagged valuable points without any interruption and registered a significant total of 20-17.
At this stage, Evgenia showed a transformed character and brought life back into the contest with 20-20.
Both contenders stood toe-to-toe in the next couple of rallies and this nerve-racking set ended when Chai Hsin placed a winning score of 25-23.
The second set was also played in similar manner as both shuttlers challenged each other in all areas of the game to make this a memorable contest.
They stayed close until the game point situation and made the crowd gasp with their mesmerising performance.
Initially, the Russian player was in strong position as she did not waste time and established a respectable lead with 7-4.
However, Evgenia’s fluctuated performance triggered the collapse and the Taipei shuttler managed to counter-balance the situation.
Chia Hsin displayed good finishing skills and locked the honour with an impressive knock of 21-17.
