The second set was almost identical, as Chong Wei spared no chance for the Chinese to fight back in the game and won the second set by a stunning margin of 21-9. The ending score of the straight-set match was 21-10 and 21-9.
After winning the match, Chong Wei expressed that the absence of Lin Dan in the match was not a disappointment for him, as he knows that the Chinese is busy in his commercial commitments.

Chong Wei is set to leave for Malaysia, where he will focus on his training for the upcoming qualifying events for the 2012 London Olympics.
