Lee Chong Wei focused to complete his hat-trick at All England Open Premier Super Series
Malaysia’s Men’s Singles ace Lee Chong Wei is focused to defend his title and complete a hat-trick at the All England Premier Super Series, which will take place in Birmingham, England, from March 6-11.
Chong Wei, who is ruling World Number One has accomplished his task at the Thomas Cup Preliminary Round where the Malaysian team reached in the semi-final and secured a berth in the Thomas Cup Finals, to be held in China, in May.
The 29-year-old Chong Wei has won the previous two editions of All England Open and is determined to live up to expectations by winning his third title in a row at this prestigious tournament.
In Macau last week, the Malaysian hero earned precious points by winning all of his matches in the qualifying round and helped his team to reserve a berth in the Finals. Before participating in the qualifying round, he was suffered with fever but still displayed tremendous show.
While talking about the success of Malaysian team at the Thomas Cup qualifiers, Chong Wei said that he delivered an expected performance and helped his team to live up to the expectations.
Chong Wei said, "We had weak team for the Thomas Cup qualifiers and it was my responsibility to help them qualify and having done that, I will use the next two weeks to prepare for the All England. I was down with fever before coming to Macau but I have recovered and there are two weeks for me to prepare for the All England.”
He is confident to defend his title at the All England Open which is just two weeks away.
He said, "I will give my best shot to defend the title in England and after that, return to focus on my training as I won't be playing in the Swiss Open."
Chong Wei’s nemesis Lin Dan of China, who did not participate in the preliminary round of Thomas Cup Finals, will be there in Birmingham to stop the World Number One from completing his hat-trick.
However, Chong Wei is not worried about Lin as he has already defeated the Chinese ace in the final of last month’s Korea Open Premier Super Series 2012, in Seoul, South Korea.
