Lee Chung-yong targets Bolton Wanderers return this season
Bolton Wanderers winger http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lee-Chung-Yong-c21873 revealed he was not aware when he would be returning to the English Premier League side after being sidelined with a broken leg. The 23-year-old sustained the long-term injury in pre-season and is not expected back
anytime soon.
After the broken leg, Lee returned to his homeland South Korea for the initial recovery and will return to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 sometime next month. He revealed he had made progress, which had been helped by the fact that he was in South Korea.
Lee said in an interview:
“My leg is getting better but it definitely helps being back in Korea because its home, being here will speed up my recovery.
My leg's not painful any more but I'm a lot happier here. The system of recovery is no different to the UK but I'm just a lot more comfortable here. I'm still having English lessons and I understand what people say - just not everything - but it's easier
to communicate at home.”
Lee admitted that even though the recovery process had not been made any less painful, he was definitely more comfortable in Korea with his family and friends. In addition to that, the player found communication a lot easier since he did not have to talk
in English.
According to Lee, he is taking lessons in English, which will help him communicate better with his teammates at Bolton Wanderers. However, communication is still not as fluent, which makes the winger miss home and his family.
He revealed that he was very fond of his new club, which was why he had completed the move to the Reebok Stadium in the summer transfer window. Lee said he was looking forward to playing football again but would not rush his return.
He continued:
“I don't want to hurry. I want to be completely recovered. I want to play again but I must be 100 per cent right. That's the most important thing.
I don't want to rush but I will play again this season.”
Lee is expected to return for the Trotters in 2012, which could either be towards the end of this season or at the beginning of the new season. The South Korea international was confident he would return this season, but only if he was a 100% fit again.
