Lee Dixon: Cesc Fabregas should join Barcelona this summer – EPL News
Legendary http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lee-c21860 Dixon, believes that want-away Arsenal skipper, Cesc Fabregas, is no longer committed to the club and should leave the Emirates Stadium in this summer transfer window.
Dixon believes that Cesc Fabregas, who was handed the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Captain-c8314’s arm-band in November 2008, is not a natural skipper as he has been failing to inspire his team for the past two seasons.
“I think maybe Fabregas' head is not there anymore at Arsenal. I don't think he's a good captain. Maybe this summer might be the summer that he leaves.” Dixon reiterated.
“For me a captain is a natural leader - it's a state of mind that they are in a position when things aren't going well for them to be able to step out and actually lift other people; I don't see Fabregas doing that. That is not the type of captain he is and
for me that is the wrong type of captain,” added the legendary right-back.
Cesc Fabregas, who joined Arsenal in 2003 from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vitalô-c40903 member of Arsene Wenger’s squad for the past few seasons. It is also believed that Wenger has opted to build his new team around the Spaniard but the midfielder’s
heart is set on joining the highly successful Barcelona side.
Fabregas has been strongly linked with a move to European and Spanish champions, Barcelona, for quite some time now. The Catalan giants are interested to bring their youth product back as they want Cesc to replace their legendary midfield maestro, Xavi Hernandez.
The 24-year-old Arsenal skipper was on the verge of joining Barcelona when the Spanish giants made two official bids for him last summer. However, Arsene Wenger refused to let Fabregas go and rejected both offers.
After leading Arsenal to yet another trophyless season and watching his dream team win the Champions League, Fabregas has once again expressed his desire to join Barcelona. It is also believed that the Catalan giants has already inquired about Fabregas and
are willing to pay 30 million. Along with the transfer fee, Barcelona are also willing to offer their highly-rated forward, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Thiago-c34888 Alcantara.
Wenger rubbished such rumours and is determined to keep his skipper at Emirates Stadium for few more years. Dixon, however, feels that time is right for Fabregas to join Barcelona.
Fabregas’ departure from Arsenal will certainly create a huge void in the Gunners’ ranks that would be hard to fill.
