Lee Smith, Weller Hauraki and Jay Pitts make their return to Leeds line-up: Rugby League
Lee Smith, Weller Hauraki and Jay Pitts of the Leeds Rhinos make their come-back in the Super League elimination play-off against Hull FC at Headingley, on Sunday, September 18. The trio, along with Kallum Watkins, sat out the final showdown of the regular against Huddersflied last Sunday.
Watkins, who sustained a severe knee injury, will remain on the side lines during tonight’s clash against Hulls along with Carl Ablett.
Leeds is marching into tonight’s big game with a formidable force which includes Rob Burrow in the line-up. The clash holds extra value for Leeds’ Burrow because he is going to appear for his 350th career appearance tonight after making his debut with Hulls in 2011. An extra twist is given to the match because Burrow is going to battle against the club which gave him a chance to make his debut in rugby league.
Under the captaincy of Kevin Sinfield, Leeds is marching into the clash tonight with a run of ten successes against Hulls, which may worry their opponents.
Others players who have returned to be part of the 19-man squad tonight include Danny Tickle who was sidelined on account of his hamstring injury. With his inclusion, Liam Kent has been dropped from the final call-up.
Sam Obst will be seen at Headingley despite his hamstring problem, which was sustained during last week’s clash against Warrington Wolves. Since Obst is not fully fit to play, he may get dropped from the roster of players for the match. This will lead to Joe Westerman’s inclusion in the squad for the clash tonight.
Leeds will march into Sunday’s clash with Webb, Smith, Delaney, Hall, McGuire, Burrow, Leuluai, Buderus, Peacock, Jones-Buchanan, Sinfield, Lauitiiti, Bailey, Kirke, Hauraki, Clarkson, Pitts, Jones-Bishop and Hardaker.
Whereas, Hulls’ line-up includes: T. Briscoe, Dowes, Horne, Houghton, Lauaki, Lyne, Obst , Manu, Moa, O'Meley, Phelps, Radford, Sharp, Tickle, Turner, Washbrook, Westerman, Whiting and Yeaman.
