My doctor wanted me to get a leep procedure 2 months ago due to cancerous cells on my uterus which can lead to something really serious where in the future I wouldnt be able to have kids if I dont get this taken care of sometime soon I have been putting it off because I have heard its painful and you have to be off work 6 weeks and I cant afford that right now.

I was wondering if a LEEP procedure can affect a babY??

Has anyone had one done?

  1. It can definitely effect a baby. While you are worried about the pain and missing work, the pain of cancer and possibly missing out on your babies childhood is even worse. It's important to take care of yourself  before you try to take care of a baby. Good luck!

  2. hey... i actually have had the LEEP test done... and i was back at work that night... they numb you a little and then they do the simple surgery... it just caused some REALLY sharp pains that they say feel like contractions bc they have to make your cervix contract in order to do the procedure... and then its just the smell of burning skin that got to me... but they put some numbing ointment on after... i had some pain after, but advil helped a little and lying down in a little ball helped too... but the pain gets better after a day or so... you cant have s*x for 2 wks though, thats the only downside... especially if you are trying to have a baby, so i would suggest scheduling it around the time that you should start your period, like a day before and have it done...
