Left a hockey net outside in thunderstorm?

i have weatherproof netting

safe or will it affect it's poles and other stuff

It should be fine, I've had a soccer net in my back yard for the past ten years and it does its job

I do it all the time. It's safe!

It should be fine. The metal may rust if you do that a lot, but keep it painted with weatherproof paint and the metal will be protected.

The Netting would be the main concern, but since you have weatherproof netting I wouldn't worry.

I might worry about the padding around the base if you have it. If you do, you could get a little mildew on it.

It won't kill ya though.
