Question:

Left and Right - a simple description?

Political people, would you agree with this description of the political biases on the left and right:

The left side tend to side with the least powerful, whilst the right tends to side with the powerful. Thus, the left side attacks the status quo (the apparently powerful), whilst the right tends to protect the status quo.

Or is that too simplistic?

  1. The left uses the ''least powerful'' to get power and push their agenda They use class warfare ''you are poor because he is rich '' ''you are in the position your in because he is white and you of coloUr ''

Yet let one of those people of coloUr become a conservative leave the liberal plantation you now have a  uppity ***##  i e; The Auntja Jemima Ms Rice or Collin Power

  2. Way too simplistic I'm afraid. Essentially opposites, even the left experiences an element of  " righting" once they become established and comfortable with authority. Whilst the left like to think of themselves as pluralists, dispersing power and authority, nobody could reasonably agree, that this was the case with Blair's presidential administration. Note also the "consulting " that has gone on with the Conservatives since Thatcherism more towards a centralist right and away from their traditional elitist base.

Finally both elements tend to become more reasonable and centralist when out of power for any length of time.

  3. Yes it is simplistic and incorrect. The Democrat Party is not starving for Billionair donors shooting down your first premise. It is about the individual for the right, the State by the left.

  4. if the left had its way,all the common people(not the leaders) would give all their wages to a central Government and that Government would then decide who gets what..they would control the thermostats, giving everyone the same temp in their houses, the same food,etc...its sickening...

  5. just look at you left hand and compare it to your right. Can you tell the difference... I thought so. Hope that answered your question. pick my answer as best answer. thank you.
