After a below par performance in the first game, the Bangladesh spinners hit back with a disciplined bowling performance to restrict the visiting Zimbabwe line-up to 191 and set up a six-wicket win to level five-match one-day series by 1-1 at the Shere Bangla
National Stadium, Mirpur. The left-arm spinner Abdur Razzak was outstanding today claiming third five-for in his six-year one-day career.
A reasonable start of Zimbabwe innings, after being put in to bat, was ruined by the lower-order capitulation as four of the last five batsmen failed to get-past single digit figures including two ducks as well. Zimbabwe were all set to post a challenging
50-over score with 104 for 3 in the 30th over before Abdur Razzak and skipper Shakib Al Hassan scythed through their batting line-up to bundle the side out for only 191 in the 47th over. Both the spinners, bowling in tandem, did not let
the Zimbabweans break free claiming the wickets at regular intervals to share nine wickets between them. Abdur Razzak picked up two wickets on the first two balls of 47th over to complete his five-wicket haul conceding only 30 runs in a spell of
9.2 overs while the captain returned with 4 for 39 from 9 overs.
