Left ear problem help

I went flying for the first time and scuba diving for the first time and 2 days later my left ear hurt a lot. went to the doctor and he said it was infected, been on the antibiotics for a week now and it has improved a little, it keeps draining every now and then, but its still muffled hearing outta my left ear, any solutions?

  1. You just have to give it some time for the infection to get cleared up . I am sure that when it's all cleared you will be better and the muffled sound will go away . Now you fly and just before you come down for the final landing approach  your ears to feel as you can't ear anything . It's caused by the automatic pressurization  adjustment of the air plane . All planes are automatucally adjusted to 8,000 feet sea level so that you are flying above that ceiling you can breathe without an oxygen mask .The newer plane being built now will have and adjustment to 6000 feet which will make it easier for breathing an less dehydration as well .
