I am very intrested in trying to teach myself to write with my left hand, i understand to practice and use my left hand when i do right handed activities.

What I need is one of those alphabet guides that you'd get in preschool or kindergarten, but for lefty's. i've tried looking, so don't tell me to google it please.

Are there any free ones on the internet?

  1. IT IS EASY KEEP TRYING AND YOU WILL GET IT...................

  2. i am left handed!

  3. I'm left handed and I used the same alphabet guides as everyone else when I was in school.  I don't know if a left handed alphabet guide would make much of a difference.

  4. I commend your perserverance and desire to learn.

I must admit, being left-handed is not in your hand, it is in  your brain. Therefore, you may be able to teach yourself to write somewhat with your left hand, but it will most likely never come naturally and may never even look right.

My daughter is left-handed and shown signs as early as 6 months. To watch her write gives me a headache and leaves me wondering , "How in the world does she do that?"!

  5. that was a truly interesting question and sent me Googling my eyes out.. lol... I found the answer though.. you can find the alphabet guides at http://www.abcteachit.com/directory/basi...

the guides feature the letter templates on the right hand side of the page so that your left hand won't be covering them while you're practicing... they have several templates on the site available for download.

another site I found which may be helpful to you is http://www.iched.org/cms/scripts/page.ph...  they have some great tips on how to improve your comfort and penmanship when writing lefty.   I hope this helps, good luck.
