I'm a left handed baseliner/defender. I just basically wanted to know what the "advantages" are for being a lefty in tennis, so I can capitalize on it! Thanks for your responses.

  1. i am lefty, you can have a serve that all righty absolutely dreading. that kicks out wide to their backhand.

you can develop heavy topspin and sidespin forhand all righty not used to.

  2. them is some useless responses.. left handed players normally dominate the other side  aka left side of a Cort were a right handed player normally play full to center it's not really an advantage just different perspective. the left arm dose tend to be stronger on a right handed person. I have been told. do u miss me you never say hello any more...

  3. Im a leftie and trust me,  all you have to do is become really good with your left hand and you will surprise other players that are mostly right handed. They wont have time to Adjust!

  4. lefties have more spin on their shots.

  5. Well, when you hit the ball it curves in a different direction that most right-handed players are used to hitting :)

  6. I'm Lefty too!!! haha... Um, being Left handed a lot of the time you'll hit the ball in different places than a right handed person, that might surprise them. You might have the element of surprise when they see how you hit it. Also, you have the advantage just 'cause you're a special person :D lol...
