Leg warmers with jeans?

Question

I recently bought some high heeled black boots and I was wondering, I saw once that this girl wore black boots with skinny jeans and leg warmers over the jeans...is this "in style" or "cute" or should I not try it? I personally thought they were cute but I'm not sure... any opinions? Is that the right way to wear leg warmers or what else could I wear them with?

That would look totally cute but only wear the leg warmers if you are wearing a scarf or sweater that matches them. YIKES! How can anyone think of leg warmers right now? It's still summer! When I'm working at the Zoo in the winter time I always stock up on leg warmers as they're a cute way to add some extra color to an outfit at a time when you need to really bundle up. You can also find boot toppers that give the look of leg warmers without the extra layer. Think of it like a dickey for your boots. Now I'm going to go jump in the pool.

Sounds cute, but idk,  have you ever seen those models in magizines wearing the 'lastest fashion' ? Its something plaid and bright yellow, something you would never see anyone wear ever! so maybe not try it.

But if you think its cute, and you are comfortable in it, dont let it bother you and wear it. I dont follow fashion, i just wear what i want

Wear what you want to wear. If you like the look of leg warmers, wear them. If you think they are cute, go and get some ! I think tey look good over skinny jeans, with sneakers.

YES! This is a look that is definately "in". A really good outfit for fall/winter is a cowl neck dress, skinny jeans, leg warmers, and boots.

I do think they're cute if you have the right body for them... long, slim legs and if you are young (teens or 20s -- or a very young early 30s).  I found this on pittsburghlive.com....  Also, there are links to photos of how some people have worn them in the source place.

Yes, leg warmers are back. But only the young and hip should attempt this hot fashion trend. Here's how the fashionistas say to wear 'em:

Wear them with short skirts. Whether it's mini- or knee-length, the skirt should not travel lower than the kneecap when paired with leg warmers. Short and sweet is key. Trendy moccasins complete the leg-warming look.

Pair them with flat, ballet-style shoes. Fashionable flats work best for this look. Toss the idea of pairing leg warmers with gym shoes or, worse yet, high heels. "High heels are a big don't," says Teresa Hunt, wardrobe consultant for Nordstrom's Personal Touch, the store's complimentary shopping service. "That look is a mother's worst nightmare." Don't wear leg warmers with flare-leg jeans. Remember, leg warmers have changed. "They used to be big and bulky, like 'Flashdance,'" says Lundy Johnson, also a wardrobe consultant for Nordstrom. Do you realize how many times you'd have to French-roll your jeans -- don't pretend that you didn't do that -- to fit the sleeker leg warmer? And do you really want to find out?

Don't wear them with gaucho pants. Everything about this possible look screams "fashion emergency." "It's the width of the pant, the length of the pant -- with the leg warmer? It just doesn't look right," Hunt says. Hopefully, this is not news to any of us.

Don't wear them with long skirts. If you're going for this look, why wouldn't you just wear pants? Just a thought.

omg when I was little girl I use to absolutely LOVE leg warmers! lol with that being said, I read on MSN style something or other, that leg warmers we're a big no no. But personally I think you could get away with it these days. don't you think?
