Question:

Legal Advice - Restraining Order?

Me and my girlfriend have been fighting for quite awhile. We would stop talking for long periods of time and then she would contact me and I would take her back into my life. Shortly after things would end, I would be mad and out of anger call and text her multiple times for a few days until we stopped talking once again. She has filed a restraining order against me, with the complaints of verbal abuse via text message/phone calls, as well as with the accusation I made threats to post sexual pictures.

Even though I called and texted many times, she still continued to conctact with me and text me. We got into a huge fight one night and the next day she's filing a restraining order. The pictures were all taken by her from her camera or camera phone and sent to me. There have been a couple times I've told her I should post them out of anger, but even after that she'd continue sending pictures.

Even before I received the restraining order, commuincation on my end had stopped, but I had still received a text message from her.

I don't feel this is a worthy order as there is faults on both parties, rather something she did to prove a point. What do you think my chances are of getting this dropped?

  1. A restraining order restrains both parties, if she has one and continues to contact you then she is violating the order herself, allow the order to become permanent and she will have to violate it to make contact with you.~
