Legal Help from the Phillipines

Question

I would be grateful if there are any lawyers from the Philippines out there who can advise me on some matters concerning a child. My husband has had a child with a Filipina and would like to proceed legally for child custody....and we just don't know how to go about it.

File an inter-country adoption in order to have custody of the child.

You would have to fight for custody in the Philippine court system with a Filipino attorney.  If your husband is not Filipino his chances of winning are absolutely zero.

If the child's mother is willing to give your husband legal custody, and your husband has US citizenship, it would be fairly easy to get the child US citizenship and bring the child to the United States.
