Legal Paternity question?

Does anyone know if an illeged father does an at home paternity test with an illeged son (2yrs) can the mother take legal action against him (because she didn't know)? And the test was negative.

  1. no you have to have it done as ordered by a court at a designated facility and with proper id

  3. Contrary to the first poster... there are at home DNA kits, which are NOT court approved, but still work.  There are very new on the market... so we must forgive her ignorance.

    However, no you cannot make a lawsuit.  However, that father now has every right and PROOF to bring the mother to court and get a court ordered DNA test.  If your the mother, you should be ashamed of yourself for pinning a child on a man that wasnt the father.
