Legal Question about possibly illegal idea?

Ok. let's see how I put this..

I am in Canada.. Ontario to be specific..

Smoking pot is illegal (which I don't do) - Nor do I drink alcohol.

Shooting a gun from your vehicle window is illegal for hunting..

((Not to kill people, to kill rabbits, partridge, etc))

So.. if I were to shoot a gun to kill a partridge from inside the car.. thats illegal... but if I posted it on YouTube would the "cops" still try to track me down for posting this illegal event and arrest me even though they did not catch me right-handed?

now.. well tbh.. it was a friend but in the question I'm saying its me.

I would personally think ..No.. because they need to be there and he can easily remove the video but still..

i have seen people smoking pot on YouTube videos but it can be fake obviously.. however as for shooting out a vehicle window for gaming purposes although its illegal?

any ideas? much appreciated..

don't send me any links unless your proving your point somehow..

don't ramble about that P.E.T.A. non-sense...

if your a hunter or are familiar with the laws we have here in Ontario, Canada..

please give me any and as much advice as possible.. thank you

  1. hmm i would wonder about that too.. your best bet is to call legal aid and not listen to any of these fools

  2. Unless you're someone famous like Zac Efron or d**k Cheney, they're not gonna care nor come after you. They don't have the resources. I doubt it's the local police's job, and they need to focus on crime at hand. Who's jurisdiction is it anyway? Those who work with internet crime focus on illegal pornography, hacking, false advertisement, scamming... BUT, (there's a but), whatever gets on the internet stays on the internet. This can be passed around, this will stay around. Forever. Somewhere. In the future maybe people will be able to find the video simply by typing in your name. I see from your post that you have a healthy dose of scepticism/paranoia.

Anyway, interested in pursuing a political career in the public's eye?

  3. YES, he can be arrested , charged, tried, and convicted.

There have been several HUNDRED cases of young fools (male and female) who've posted tapes of their "FINE" behavior on You-Tube, My-Space, Face-Book, etc and then had the police track them down and send them on off to prison.

They CAN and will obtain a warrant to go to the website and get your information and IP address, then to search the home and seize computers and data-storage.

BINGO, they tie the crime to the criminal OR whoever posted the video (I said "tape" earlier, dang I'm OLD) and it's off to jail.

OH, the reason they don't go after pot-smokers... at least here in the USA is:  smoking it isn't illegal, POSSESSION is !!  In most cases, it would be a misdemeanor and wouldn't be worth tracking down.

Shooting from a car is going to be a FELONY.

BTW, this really belonged over in "Law & Ethics"...

  4. haha i would totally watch that video tell me wats its called if you do i dont think the cops would go that far to catch you fro doing something like that i mean there are vids on youtube of people smoking pot and those vids arent taken off for illegal usage so i think it would be fine!

  5. Hmmm... computer cops?  I would usually saythat cops wont be hunting you on youtube, but don't want u 2 get busted.

  6. Yes, they can come after you for posting something illegal that you did, on youtube.
