Legal ages in Vermont and New Hampshire? ?

This is important if there is someone who can explain this to me i would be so happy to talk to you!! I have a issue with a friend i think that he is illegal for me to be talking too

There is no such thing as a legal talking age. You can talk to anyone of any age. The legal age of consent in order to have s*x with any adult is 16 in both Vermont and New Hampshire.

Talking is always legal. If you are "talking about" s*x, that too is legal, regardless of age. If you send him erotic pictures, or engage in "cybersex" then the relevant age is 18 - that is the highest age in the US, and is the Federal law, which applies because you're in different states.

What's the difference between "talking abut s*x" and engaging in online s*x?  Sorry, but that depends on what the jury thinks if you're criminally charged.
