I own a company that does business internationally; if i was to set up a DBA for the company can i use the DBA name internationally? or what restrictions are there to DBA's.

No limitations on the DBA use. I suggest, though, that you also register with the US Patent and Trademark Office. When you file the dba you have protection in your state, only.
