  1. HAHA, actually this is a funny question! I lived in Germany for 4 years and recently moved back to the states from there. People ask me all the time about the drinking age and it's kinda funny cause there is none. But I would recommened being careful while you're over there though. They can always spot an american. Try not to make yourself too obvious. Have fun!

  2. I was last there in 2001 and the age was 14 at the time.

  3. You can already drink beer. You only must arithmetic this with that a policeman asks you for the passport to guarantee whether you are also 16

  4. Beer & wine = 16

    Anything harder = 18

    All over Germany

  5. If you are with your family fifteen for one glass of beer, sixteen for one glass of beer or wine. If you are eighteen or over you can drink as much of anything.

  6. 16 for beer

  7. Oktoberfest, woohoo! You'll be drinking what I'm drinking in my pic. lol I live in Germany and love Oktoberfest, but I usually don't go to the one in Munich. It's waay too crowded cuz that's where everyone goes. There's Oktoberfests everywhere tho. Hope you have fun and be careful~

  8. Legal drinking age for beer and wine is 16, for hard liquor it's 18. This is true everywhere in Germany.

When you go to the Oktoberfest, take it slowly. Make sure you eat a good meal before you start, and drink slowly. (Actually, it's best to alternate beer and water.) Every year, lots of people drink themselves unconscious at the Oktoberfest, many have to go to the hospital, and some even die - usually young people who're there for the first time and overestimated the amount of beer then could safely drink.

Don't make the same mistake, it'll only ruin your vacation, and possibly your health. (Besides, you want to REMEMBER being there, right?)

  9. I was just in germany and at 14 you can go into a bar and get a beer.

  10. The legal age is 18. This is when you are at Oktoberfest or when you are not. Laws are strict, so do not drink when you are under age, specially when you are a tourist. There is a lot of police at Oktoberfest checking on this. Nevertheless, when you have somebody buy you the alcohol and you drink it in public places, you will hardly get caught. Its just, they can not sell it to under 18 year old.

  11. German law says that you can drink beer at age 16.  At age 18 you can go to bars and drink the harder stuff if you so desire.  It may vary from state to state.

Just for your information:  Oktoberfest beer is no joke.  You will get your beer in a 1 liter beer mug and the beer is STRONG.  The beer is made specifically for Oktoberfest and has a high alcohol content.  So don't start trying to pound them down or you will just be another tourist taken to the hospital with alcohol poisoning.  It happens every year, sadly.

  12. You can drink beer in Germany legally when you are 16 years old.

  13. i dont think they have allegal drinking age there i know that my step daughter lives there currently and she has been going  into bars and drinking since i know she was 16 or 17  and she is 19 now
