  1. I haven't heard of that law. Currently you can get a permit at 15 and a half. Then after having a permit for 6 months you can get your license at 16.

To get a permit you must take drivers ed. This can be taken at school, online, or during the weekend at a special school (just google drivers, Your city) . (you can take this before your 15 and a half)

After you've passed drivers ed and are 15 and a half you go to DMV and you take the written test (about 45 multiple choice questions, your allowed to miss 7). If you pass then you now have your permit.

To make your permit legal you MUSt take your first drivers training lesson. They are 2 hrs long, and you must take 3 before getting your license. (Your drivers ed school should be able to recomnd a good place). With a permit you must drive with an adult.

To get your license you must have 6 hrs of drivers training, and 50 hrs of driving total. 10 of these hrs has to be night driving. You must have your permit for atleast 6 months.

When you've had it 6 months you go to DMV and take your driving test. If you pass then you will have a valid license.

But until you've had your license for a year you can't drive anyone.

  2. if u have a pink slip from school u gotta be 15 and a half inordr to get it. minimum age is 16 when getting a licence (not permit) n + u need 6 hrs of training.(driving)
