Legal name change birth certificate & passport question.?

my daughter recently divorced and now wants to change her last name back to her maiden name. she also to wants to change the spelling of her first name. how will this affect her getting a passport if her birth certificate has a different first name spelling on it? would she just need to provide the document showing the legal name change?

  1. Most likely will just need a certificate that states the name was changed.


  2. Once the name change was approved by the judge all she needs is to provide a copy of the paper from the court along with other documentation (such as birth cert etc.)
