  1. May not be enforceable; on the other hand, parents of the minor could be responsible. Depends on the agreement and the state/country you are in. Ask a local atorney.

  2. In India, agreements with minors are not enforceable against the minors and voidable at the option of the minors. Such agreements are also not enforceable against their parents/guardians if not endorsed by them.

  3. hi riya, am a lawyer practising in delhi.  an agreement enetered with a minor is void ab initio. i.e. invalid from the beginning.  a minor can not enter an agreement and even if he does, it has no legal effect.  e.g. a minor borrows a sum of rs. 500 and enters an agreement to pay it back, the lender can not approach the court for recovery, even if he does, his suit would be dismissed.  a minor can validate the contract or agreement on his attaining his age of majority but thats optional for him and even the ball is in the minor's court.

  4. the law will always favor the minor in an effort to protect them.

  5. An animal cannot sue or be sued.

A person who has been declared incompetent cannot sue or be sued.

A minor is not of legal age and cannot sue or be sued.  Therefore, a minor cannot enter into a contractual agreement and has to have their legal affairs taken care of by parents under supervision of legal attorney or by a legal attorney of the court.

  6. Agreements entered with a Minor is voidable... But he can be beneficiary or subject matter of the contract... Refer for clarification in Mercantile Law book... preferably by N.D.Kapoor....

  7. if it's supposed to be a binding contract, and the individual with whom you're entering the contract is a minor, then the latter does not have consideration and, therefore, the contract is null and void.

  8. I'm not sure, but minors aren't bound by contracts because they cannot legally enter into one.

  9. Here in my state, minor is not responsible for his agreement in most case.   Exception is the agreements regarding food, clothing, and any necessary items for his well being.
