Legal question about thirty day notice etc

Myself and my two daughters, 23 and 18 have been living with my parents for the last 6 months. They asked us to move in as their health is declining. Everything has been fine, we have been doing all chorse and helping them both with their health etc. Then this morning we were served a thirty day notice to move out. We were shocked to say the least and when we asked we were told to f--ck off!!! we later heard them talking about them getting a restrainging order and i asked my mother who that was for, she said us! Question is if we have already been served a thirty day notice to quit can they also give us a restraining order, there has never been any physical violence or threats etc. If they can that means we have thirty days to get out plus a restraining order which i assume means get out now its kind of an oxymoron. Does anyone know legally where we stand as we need to do some quick thinking as we have nowhere to go at the moment. Any advice would be welcome.

  1. Your parents may not appreciate or want the help you're giving - they may have just needed some temporary help a few months back.

It's their house and you have to go if they say so. That's the law.

They say there are two sides to every story, I don't know what your parents' side is, so I'm not prepared to call them cold-hearted.

Surely you can find an apartment or house in thirty days?

  2. If you have a lease and the reason your getting evicted is not drawn out on the lease than they can't boot you out.  But if your just a visitor in their home and they have said enoughs enough then they can give you the boot.  As far as a restraining order goes, they are not hard to file, you just go down to your local police station.  You can appeal it, there will be a time and place for that listed on it from the court.

  3. your parents are coniving and cold hearted.
