My mom passed away , and my sister is the executor. I am not happy with some of her decisions. What recourse do I have. I live in CT. Also, the will says one thing about percentage of dividing the monies while the bank accounts say a different amount for the division to the beneficiaries.. What is stronger. The last will or the amount mentioned in the bank annuities to the benefactors.

  1. Usually annuities are stronger.  Talk to an attorney who specializes in this area./

  2. Your mother, in naming your sister executrix of the estate, has entitled her to make all of the decisions legally on behalf of the estate. Speak with an attorney for any possible recourse regarding the contradictions in the executor documents...but your sister now has the ultimate say in terms of the estate, and has durable power of attorney for your deceased mother.
