Legal to wear full protection motorcycle helmet while riding mountain bicycle in southern california streets?

will people look at me funny or weird? i just want to protect my skin from uv rays with the full face helmet while exercising.

Yes it is legal and yes they make bicycle helmets that look like that and they are far lighter than motorcycle helmets.
