Legalization of a vehichle into mexico?

My dad wants to know exactly what needs to be done, where to go to do it, how much it costs, all he details for getting a vehicle into mexico. if u need to know its for use deep in mexico and its a 1999 ford

Also info in AAA Mexico Tourbook. It is about $23 on a credit card for 6 months. Most large cities on Mexican side where you go to also get a tourist permit.
