Question

After I beat gannondorf I watched the credits and it said the end. But then I didn't save and I'm back at hyrule castle did this happen to anyone else?

That's how the game works. It doesn't save your completed file. No matter what you do, you'll always restart right before the final boss.

Don't worry, your game saved. In Zelda you can beat the last boss as many times as you want, which is why it takes you back in front of Hyrule Castle. This happens in all Zelda games. Gannondorf was a fun boss though ;)

You surrendered your humanity, its that simple. I'm just joking. It didn't happen to me and I saved. Actually you do end up in the castle, for some strange reason. Don't worry it's suppose to happen and that is the end for Zelda.
