Legend or reality?

I once heard about a theft that took place many years ago. The person hijacked an airliner with millions of dollars aboard and jump off and was never found. People say he died on the way down but nothing was ever found the the guy. I remeber his name being something cooper, ps the game sly cooper took the cooper from this mastermind crimnimal. Can ya tell me how he was so i look up info on him.

Yes..DB Cooper. It was not millions of dollars..just under $100,000. Identity never found out.

He diddn't get milllions, but he did get a significant amount and yes, he jumped off an airliner somewhere in Cascadia (Oregon/Washington area) People may say he died on the way down, but no one really knows, because a body was never recovered. So he may have escaped. Just recently, however, some of the money he took was recovered, and it seems unlikely he would leave it behind so perhaps his body is still out there,waiting to be discovered.

He actually signed his name as "Dan Cooper" but some reporter wrote "D.B. Cooper" and the name stuck.

D B Cooper.  Jumped over the Columbia River.  Some of the money from the heist was found along a river bank, but most of the money, his parachute, and his body have never been seen again.  I'd like to think he survived somehow, but the best bet is that the jet wash slammed him into the aircraft and that he came down in the river and washed away.
