Legendary Gianluigi Buffon keen to stay at Juventus despite a poor season – Serie A news

Juventus FC goalkeeper, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gianluigi-Buffon-c14833, claims that he will stay at Stadio Olimpico Torino even though the club had a bad term in the Italian top flight. The goalkeeper has been surrounded by speculations regarding his career with Juve, but the recent
reports suggest that he would sign an extension until 2013.
The Old Lady have had a troublesome season in Serie A where they failed to launch a fight for the Scudetto. Moreover, even a UEFA Champions League berth seems unattainable owing much to their inconsistency throughout the season.
Buffon calls the season unsatisfactory for the team and while talking to the media recently, the legendary shot stopper said:
“Unfortunately this term has almost been as unsatisfying as the last one, due to the points we’ve lost on our way and to the chances we missed,”
The Old Lady, though, is going to make it to UEFA Europa League for the upcoming season. The difficulties faced by the Old Lady might just be the perfect reason why Buffon will leave for other opportunities especially since his time at the top is drawing
towards an end.
Juventus are keen to spend on new developments and the veteran might be sold to generate funds for the new transfers. Reports indicate that Chelsea, Arsenal and AS http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603 are all keen to lure the legendary goalkeeper to their respective dressing rooms.
“My intent, as well as that of the club, is to continue being together. Are http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 boss Carlo Ancelotti and Arsenal looking for me? Ancelotti launched my career and I’m grateful to him. We’ve a good relationship, but due to reasons not related to football.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429, instead, is a good subject for you journalists, but this doesn’t cause me a problem.” Buffon was quotes as saying.
Buffon also commented on Juve’s ongoing expedition in Madrid and said there is going to be exchange of players between Real Madrid and the Turin giants. The legend did not mention any names but said that whoever joins the club would be welcomed with open
arms into the squad.
