Legendary Silverstone circuit all prepared for British Grand Prix – MotoGP news
Legendary British circuit Silverstone will be hosting the sixth event of the ongoing MotoGP season, the AirAsia British Grand Prix on June 12, 2011.
It will be a full of action affair, where the MotoGP idols, championship leader Jorge Lorenzo, Le Mans winner Casey Stoner, Italian Marco Simoncelli, his compatriot Valentino Rossi and the sole British rider in premier class, Cal Crutchlow will be seen competing
the other riders of the class.
The track will be filled with world-class motorcycle racers in action on the track. However, the off track entertainment of the crowd has also been kept in mind and various events have been scheduled for all three days.
The track will host a variety of off track entertainment events including stunt shows, concerts and an air show. There will also be off-road riding sessions for the crowd. One important visitor attraction is the circuit ride on a two-seater Ducati GP machine,
which will be piloted by former GP rider Randy Mamola.
The new addition to the Silverstone track will also display the spectators’ view, which has recently been inaugurated in the presence of racers from both premier classes racing world, MotoGP and Formula 1.
The new event for this year at Silverstone will be the Honda Experiential Zone. The event will offer the people to test ride Honda trial rides with an Enduro off-road school and a MotoX off-road school. It will be a great opportunity for both professional
and beginner off road riders to improve or learn road racing techniques.
On Saturday, June 11, 2011, a party will be hosted by Honda Experiential Zone on a flat track. The flat track is built to conduct a flat track race along with 2011 Pozzani Grand National UK Flat Track Championship series race. It will be a series’ debut
race on the venue.
The Honda party also includes an Air Jam Freestyle competition with rider appearances. Graziano Rossi will officially demonstrate his Zaeta flat track bike. A Red Bull DJ truck will keep the rest swaying assuring everyone gets a piece of entertainment.
