Pakistan’s former captain, Mohammad Yousuf, who recently announced retirement from all forms of cricket, has been receiving many offers from the country’s domestic ranks.
In this regard, The Lahore City Cricket Association’s (LCCA) President, Khawaja Nadeem, has revealed that they have requested the former middle-order batsman, Yousuf, to represent their regional team in the forthcoming domestic
season, and the master batsman has showed willingness to make a come back.
“I have been in contact with Yousuf and he is returning on September 11 with a positive frame of mind and will be taking part in domestic tournaments,” Nadeem said.
“Yousuf feels that he can play at the top level for another year or so, which is why he has decided not to hang up his boots despite calls that he has crossed his peak years,” he added.
Earlier, Nadeem showed great confidence on the Pakistan’s former skipper, termed him as a great batsman, and refused Yousuf’s retirement decision.
Previously, the governing body of cricket in Pakistan claimed that Yousuf’s selection in the national squad would not be beneficial for the team, however, Nadeem had advised PCB to sort out rifts with the middle-order batsman,
and provide him opportunity to serve the team Pakistan.
