Curtly Elconn Lynwall Ambrose was born on September 21, 1963 in Swetes Village, Antigua. The six feet seven inches tall Ambrose debuted for West Indies in March 1988 with a One Day International against Pakstan at Kingston.
The lanky right-arm pace bowler went on to play 176 One Day Internationals picking up 225 wickets at a bowling average of 24.12 and economy rate of 3.48. From 176 ODI appearances, Ambrose has four five-wicket hauls in his name.
