According to him, his recent good performances are a result of his fitness as well as hard training sessions after his knee surgery back in 2009.
Moreover, in his match against Viktor, Mardy also took full advantage of Viktor’s weaknesses. The Serbian double faulted on a total of six occasions in the entire match.
"He is a passionate man," Fish commented. “He is a kind of player who does not perform on consistent basis. He perform very well some times while, plays poorly at times as well. However, I managed to keep it steady."

As far as the American tennis contender Andy Roddick is concerned, this victory must have given him a lot of confidence to perform even better for the matches in the tune up tournament prior to the United States Open championship, which is going to be held in the city of New York.
"If anyone says, that their greatest aim at this point is to not prepare themselves for the upcoming US Open 2010, they're perhaps not being totally honest with themselves or with others," Roddick said. "Anyhow the best preparation for a major event is to enter the tournament by winning the previous matches."
