Legit Performance chips?

Question

Are there any legit performance chips out there? I was had by e-bay members who miraculously disappeared as soon as I paid for the item. I did get the module in the mail, but it was just two wires in a plastic box melted onto the box. LOL! I'm such a sucker!

Don't get a performance chip anyway.

All it does, is convince the engine to dump some extra fuel into the engine.

Sure, it gives you a little better performance. At certain RPM. And you lose performance at others. And lose gas mileage. Avoid chips at all cost.

And any kind of performance upgrade that can be bought for under $30, is a complete scam.
