  1. Below is a link to the dining options (which it looks like you may have already seen.  I always take my kids to the Upper Deck Sports Cafe.  It's one place where you sit down and have your order taken rather than waiting in line to order or having to juggle the buffet line for the entire family.  It also has a play area (with Legos, of course) where the kids can hang out while you wait for the food.

The Garden Restaurant is OK but I've always encountered a long wait time.

The food at Fun Town Market is good but if I recall, the portions are pretty big (so plan to share if you have anyone with a smaller appetite) and again, the buffet line always seems a little difficult when you've got young ones.

You must try the Granny Apple Fries and/or Fool Scoops.  Their ice cream is good and if you time it right, there's a show that plays nearby at certain times.

  2. To food selection is good but just a little pricey. It all depends on your taste. Here are coupons to legoland

  3. Don't really remember places to eat there, but costco is your best bet outside the park for cheap and delicious food, also for food that is good (but your kids might not like everything on the menu) is 20/20 at the sheraton right above legoland. it's really good they have a variety of gourmet foods and pizzas. Or just head over to In-N-Out for a good burger.

  4. Eat before you go and after you leave. Just buy a snack there. It's too $$$$$

Grab a snack before you go in at the Costco just blocks away  - hot dog and a drink $1.50

  5. It all depends on your tastes! Most of the food is great at Legoland. My favorite is Ristorante Brickolini. Because, they have a really good Caprese salad and delicious pasta. The only place that I would avoid is the Knight's Table Barbecue. It's way over priced for the mediocre barbecue that they serve. And, YOU MUST TRY the Granny Apple Fries at Castle Hill, they are served with a vanilla cream dip that is to die for!

If , you really are on a budget, there's a Costco and Pat and Oscar's (ribs, chicken and pizza) on Palmomar Airport Road, which is the south end of the park. There's also the Carlsbad Company Stores, which features a Ruby's Diner and various fast food restaurants.
