Question:

Legs ache alot when I run?

Its not that I don't have the energy to run... I do, but sometimes my legs and feet hurt so much when I run, I just endure the pain and play.

Any supplements I should be taking to have more energy in my feet and legs?

Protein maybe?

  1. Stretching will help your legs, but your feet may be a more serious problem.  If it is the tendon that runs straight through the middle of the foot you can stretch that.  Sit down before and after you run and life your foot up, but if it is more of your ankle or a bone, you may need to see a pysical therapist.  Hope that helps =)


  2. no, don't use supplements. They probably won't work. Your problem is probably your shoes. Their either to worn and its time for a new pair or you don't have propper ones. Go to your local running shoe store and ask them to help you find some shoes that are right for you. Trust me, it will make all the difference.

  3. Protein does a marvelous job to help build and repair muscle so it wouldn't hurt to be eating food with plenty of protein in it, such as chicken or fish. Potatoes (especially the skin) have protein as well. Stretching them is a must, check out the link I have below. It has some of the basic stretches with some pictures. Also to help your legs relax, fill a bath tub up with warm water and than put some salt in the water and mix it in and sit in the tub for a good 20-30 minutes and just let your legs soak. If that all fails than I would go to a Dr. to see if maybe you have some sort of vitamin defiency that is just making your legs sore all of the time or if you may have an injury. But I would try the above stuff first. Good luck

  4. Stretch the muscles in your legs before you run. It helps so much. ie- calf, hamstring, groin, quadraceps.

    it definitely helps.

  5. streaching is really important, this should help the pain alot.

    just make sure you are eating a well balanced diet then you should have energy in all parts of your body
